Master David Leung is a second generation student of the famous Yip Man of Wing Chun Kung-Fu, under one of his early Hong Kong students, Ho Luen.
Yip Man’s student, Bruce Lee, was responsible for bringing this style into the public’s eye, and the new movies about Yip Man have renewed public interest as well. Martial Artists from all traditions have sought to learn Wing Chun, primarily for its famed training exercise called chi sao (sticky hands). Chi sao teaches a martial artist how to defend himself by the sense of touch, making blindfolded Wing Chun stylists just as dangerous as when they have their eyes open.
Master Leung is also a lifelong student of Tai Chi.He has learned from many of the world’s most respected masters, beginning with the legendary Leung King Yu. Through his almost fifty years of study of Tai Chi he has become one of the elite greats of the style, with a firm and respected position in both Yang Tai Chi and Chen Tai Chi. Master David Leung’s joy for these arts and his energetic personality make his seminars as much fun as they are insightful.
